STAY VIGILANT TO KEEP EVERYTHING FREE

Ma Jaya has much to conceal about what really goes on at Kashi Ranch. It's been that way for more than 20 years. That's why I think she directed Gina to settle the (Richard) Rosenkranz divorce out of court.

It's no coincidence that Ma's interest in doing social outreach work began after I rescued my daughter from her clutches with a SWAT team in 1989. It's hard to explain what she was doing raising children who weren't her own. A woman capable of obtaining children from their parents at birth, and getting away with it, is dangerous.

Since this woman appears to have no conscience and reports to no one, I feel compelled to speak out. The community needs to know how this leader harms her followers and their families. Perhaps the media can make her more accountable.

Mind control is a subtle, covert, deceptive process that manipulates followers into making prescribed choices. Why else would members of Kashi agree to arranged marriages and surrender their first-born children?

There is always some deeper spiritual explanation to justify violating one's conscience and carrying out Ma's mission. It's a very difficult and vulnerable place to be when your salvation is tied to a woman who I think has an insatiable appetite for power.

Learning this lesson has touched me so profoundly I went back to graduate school, became a licensed professional counselor, and have worked diligently in the cult recovery field for the last 12 years.

Exposing how guru Ma restricts her students' freedom and controls too many aspects of their lives is vital to their well-being and perhaps ours, too. That's why education, information and vigilance are constantly needed to keep us, our minds and even our communities free.
